I'm Melanie Houchens.
Visionary. Speaker. Founder of The Woman Who Finishes™.

This work is personal.
I help women confront the beliefs that keep them starting over, keep their word to themselves, and become women who finish what God gave them to carry.
I know what it feels like to have a vision for your life and still be disappointed by how much of it you haven't followed through on. To know God put something in you, start moving on it, and then begin questioning the whole thing when it takes longer than you expected or gets harder than you thought.
From a first sale to a bigger assignment.
I started my digital business in April 2024 and made my first sale one week later. That business grew into a six-figure brand, Gyrls Gone Digital™.
Through Gyrls Gone Digital™, I've helped women go from sitting on their knowledge to launching digital products and making their first sales.

Through The Woman Who Finishes™, I've helped women return to what they started and follow through on promises they had repeatedly broken to themselves—giving them something to be proud of and evidence that they can trust themselves to do what they say.
"A slow start could become 'Maybe God didn't call me to this.' One disappointing result could become 'I don't have what it takes.'"
Through that work, I kept seeing how much a woman's beliefs about herself affected what she did with the strategy in front of her. She could have a clear direction and still talk herself out of moving forward.
Once she accepted that conclusion, putting it down started making sense to her.
I've had to confront those same agreements in my own life. I've had to learn how to keep going without letting fear, my feelings, or the evidence I hadn't seen yet decide who I was allowed to be.
Faith is my foundation.
My faith in God is the foundation of how I live and how I lead. Who God said I am has to carry more authority than what a difficult moment tries to convince me of.
Living from that agreement requires decisions: keeping my word, establishing standards, and confronting myself when my choices stop reflecting what I say I believe.
That is the work behind The Woman Who Finishes™
The Woman Who Finishes™ conference.
I hosted the first The Woman Who Finishes™ conference in Richmond, Virginia. Approximately 200 women gathered, with women traveling from across the country to be in the room. Standing on that stage meant carrying an assignment all the way through while being scared to take the mic. Being terrified didn't change who God called me to be in that room.

Who you become matters.
Today, I bring that same conviction into my speaking, the experiences I create, and my work with women.
I want women to be proud of themselves because they can trust their own word. I want them to make confident decisions, follow through on the things they keep saying matter to them, and turn their God-given gifts into businesses that create impact and income. Their lives should reflect the size of what they carry.
When a woman tells me what she wants to create, I care about the work getting finished. I also care about who she becomes in the process—and whether she leaves with evidence that she can trust herself to carry what comes next.
You've started enough things. It's time to become the woman who finishes.
